Hey folks,

Currently, I want to work on increasing the amount of content and rare events in Epilogue, to increase the replayability.  I want to start by adding ~3 more enemies to the first 3 levels, since those are the levels most people will see a lot of.  Then there will be various random event or interaction possibilities that affect all floors.

I also have an idea for a new game mode, which will be very different than the default game, much like necromancer mode.

I am also considering implementing some kind of “base” area that will be a floor you can wander around in, that contains physical representations of achievements and monsters killed.  Some people will enjoy this a lot while others will find it completely useless, but nonetheless it is something I want to add.  There is a big difference from seeing a list of accomplishments and seeing a “trophy room”.

Until then,

Kraflab

Hey there!

At long last, the linux users opposed to PulseAudio should be satisfied.

Changes:

Added support for OpenAL audio drivers.

The game now defaults to OpenAL, and tries to use PulseAudio if that is unavailable.

This version only affects the linux builds.  Files are uploaded in all the usual places; Desura files will show up once they are approved.

Changes:

Fixed a typo
Removed the Quick trait spam
Added a particle effect upon xp gain
Improved the log formatting
Added a sound for going down stairs
Improved how the map displays landmarks
Added a music track for level 4
Added 5 additional color themes unlocked through achievements

This update mostly addresses some polish issues, and is partially a response to Ancient’s feedback at http://roguetemple.com/forums/index.php?topic=2495.0.  These updates entirely effect all branches of the game.

The music on level 4 sounds amazing through head phones, do yourself a favor and check it out!
